My mom was there for the birth of both of my children, I wouldn't have had it any other way. I am so glad that she was able to share in those experiences with my husband and I.

My mother and mother-in-law won't be in the delivery room when I give birth. This is something my husband and I want to share together and we want our crazy mothers out of our hair. They probably think you are more helpful than annoying and that's why they want you to be there with them, good for you! I wish my mom and MIL were helpful instead of pushy and bossy. :(

For both of my daughters births my father was there and my husbands parents were there for my last daughters birth. It was a very special time for everyone because they got to see their grandchildren right from the start and the support my husband and I felt was so appreciated.
