It's torture just watching her on American Idol this season. What in the world is going on with her? Is she on heavy meds?

Yah she really looks drugged out of it this season. I hate it when she lolls all over Simon....She has defended her behavior on talk shows so I don,t know whats up. I also believe that she should hire a different stylist!

Many (if not all) American Idol fans have noticed a big change in Paula Abdul. You can't go in to an American Idol message board or forum these days without seeing many posts about Paula's strange behavior.
The main topic is the obvious change in her, shall we say, sobriety (or lack thereof). Paula's speech is slurred, her eyes are glassy, her balance is off, she looks dizzy and pretty much spaced out at all times. Many fans are starting to become concerned with this. Some are questioning Fox's blatant disregard on the issue, many believing that by ignoring this, Paula is not getting the help she seems to need.
Last month, Abdul was fined and sentenced to two years’ probation after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor count of hit-and-run driving. The charge stemmed from an accident last December in which her car clipped another vehicle on a San Fernando Valley freeway.

Your guess is as good as mine as to what is wrong with Paula Abdul. I honestly think if her strange behavior was down to a serious illness and meds, that would be openly stated. She in fact denies she is on any meds whatsoever. Although she has said last year, she was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, a chronic neurological disorder that causes severe pain.
“I get a shot (of an anti-inflammatory drug) once a week,” Paula said. “I give it to myself.”
Hmmm so that isn't something that would cause the odd actions we've seen from Paula.
To me it looks like she is drunk.

Funnily enough, there was a letter to a London newspaper recently from someone who does her hair and make-up whenever she's in the UK. Apparently, someone had commented that she looked drunk or stoned or something, and this person, who'd been working with her for years, wrote in to say it wasn't anything like that - she had surgery after an accident years ago, and is continuing to take meds as a result of that. It's all above board and prescribed, apparently.

Paula (Not Paul) Abdul is just tired i'm sure. Never assume, that is how rumer's get started. As much as some people want to know. Unless it comes straight from her. Never take people at their word Unless it comes from her.
