Ok......USC, is a great team, one of the best. But, why does everybody always blow them up? UCLA cut their a$$......they have many flaws?
So why does everyone say they are so much better overall than the Florida Gators. I feel like the Gators proved/will continue to prove that they are the best college football team by far. Boise State, again, a great team.........but don't waste my time and tell me that they could beat the Gators. Good game with Oklahoma, but........Ohio State beat em, walked the dog on OK, and Boise had to beat em in overtime. Then All Mighty Florida rapes Ohio St........There shouldn't be an argument, tell me what you think!

USC will always get the hype simply because they're USC. But when it all comes down to it, Florida is the tougher team. People wanted to rag on Florida for their loss to Auburn, but what people fail to realize is that they play in THE premiere conference in the NATION (and we're talking about football AND basketball). This is the same conference that fielded 9 teams (5 of which WON their bowl games) in 2006 bowl games, 2 in the BCS (both winning their games). When you come out of a conference like that with just one loss and then turn around to win the National Championship when people were calling you out to get woodshed beating....I think it's safe to say you ARE the best team in the nation. Go Gators.

P.S. And to think, I'm a UK fan ha.

Because not only are they a national title contender every year, but ever since 2002, usc has landed superb recruting classes. actually, since that time, no one has a better overall class than usc. for example, since 2002-present, some guys were reggie bush, lendale white, brian cushing, dwayne jarrett...just to name a few. and look at it this year, usc didn't have many scholarships to give out this time. so they recruited a pretty small class by their standards...i think 18 guys compared to florida and everyone else who had 25+ recruits. Florida nearly had 30 recruits. nothing against the gators, because they are one hell of a program and are now the USC of the East. it also helps that usc lands quality players...look at this year, averaging 10 less recruits than the top 25 teams in the recruiting race and landing at number 2.

basically, when it comes to recruiting, usc has been the standard that most programs try to follow the past couple of years....

You know I would consider Florida to be a lot better team if they had beaten Auburn last year. But they didnt. Lets face it. It's not very often that teams repeat as champions. USC is getting more hype because their quarterback is a 5th year senior that everybody has on their Heisman list. Dont get me wrong Tim Tebow is a great quarterback, but I want to see him play an entire season as the starting QB before I start getting in his autograph line. Remember, only once in like the last 50 years has a team won the sole National Championship twice in a row and that was the 94 and 95 Nebraska Cornhuskers.

You are right that USC is way over rated but Florida is not that great of a team anyway. They never should have been in the National Championship game anyway. They beat Ohio State when Ohio State was having a bad game. They couldn't beat the Buckeyes two times out of three and everybody who watches college football knows that.

Your asking the age old question. Its all about money my friend. ESPN and other big name cooperations have money invested in the Big 10 and Pac-10. CBS covers SEC football, and they have a limited market when it comes to sports. ESPN controls college football, whether they like to admit it or not. They are the ones that are pushing Big 10 and Pac-10 teams more than anyone else because of the television money.

The SEC is the best conference, hands down. If we have to prove it again and again, so be it. We know we can take on any team any day.

????? Uh, no. [edit: the "no" is in answer to "is it illegal" -- my answer to "is there any defense" would be that there's nothing to defend here.] First, a forwarded email doesn't give identifying information about the sender. Anything put on the Internet is public. They're just trying to find out what lies wing-nuts are telling about health care reform. That's the same health care reform that the citizens have been begging for for decades, and which Republicans want to prevent from ever happening. They aren't creating a record of everything given people say (which is what is prohibited); they're collecting mis-information on a given issue. How else can they respond to the lies, unless they know what the lies ARE? Anyone who doesn't realize that emails can be forwarded, or anyone can go to public websites has no business using the Internet. There's no privacy right when there's no reasonable expectation of privacy.

USC is an over hyped team b/c of the media on the West Coast. Florida last season could have beaten them without playing their offensive starters. . . enough said

Maybe you should quit hyping the Gators, yeah they won. So what who is to say if the Trojans would have played the Gators the Gators would have got stomped.

florida is the best. (thanks for rex grossman) no but seriously, florida is great.

but still...considering that USC landed the #2 class while having 9 less recruits than florida, that tells you something. it's about quality, not quantity. they have more five-stars than florida...landing the #1 LB in Chris Galippo (did you watch the Army-All American Game, my god), #1 DE Everson Griffin, #1 C Kristofer O'Dowd, #1 WR/CB Ronald Johnson, #1 and 2 RB in Joe McKnight and Marc Tyler.....now that's quality.
