The Bible says that eventually there will be one world government under the Antichrist.
Now, whether or not it will happen during our lifetime is open to debate.
Also, there is the Illuminati theory, that the world is already being controlled by one group.
I am hoping that we and our descendants get to keep the USA for a few hundred more years.

Truthfully, I don't think it's going to happen like they predict...but then we must always expect the unexpected. No, there isn't a one world government. There is the European Union, and then there is the UN. It's like a woman who wares red and green together and does not expect to look like a Christmas tree.

Well, we were warned up front...and the American people were told we were in it for the long haul. These have been different kinds of wars. One on terror and the other to help bring about a democracy.

I think we are close to the end of it unless another country causes trouble, comes onto our soil and starts. After this is over, I doubt any troops will be traipsing off anywhere. I can understand peoples impatience, but I have family in Iraq as well, and no one wants these men home more than I do. We belong to the UN, but I don't believe we'd ever join the EU and they cannot make ALL the rules...only rules of engagement and money. If anyone screws this up, it would be the EU.

There will never be a world government as long unless the US relinquishes it's goal of protecting it's own global interests (greed)

If Americans don't renew our commitment to our founding principles, our slide into fascism will continue and accelerate. Orwell did write 1984 about us and England, after all.

I think one world government is the answer to the resources management problem and the way to ensure human and civil rights for all.

Imagine there's no countries, I wonder if you can, nothing to kill or die for, a brotherhood and sisterhood of man....

It looks like we are tearing ourselves apart. We are squabbling over nothing and we are not trying to make any progress toward really solving any of our pressing problems, only a lot of name calling and finger pointing. I suspect it is going to get worse. As for one world government, do you really see countries merging? If anything, countries are splitting apart. Europe seems to be an exception, but their setup is still relatively new.

The only way there would ever be one world Govt. is if Aliens invade the earth and take out all the nuclear weapons.
