Well, probably not for long. The relationship between The Ottoman and the Austria-Hungarian empires were also not great before the war. Then, there was Russia, too. Also, many inner rebellions occurred in the empire and it had lost a big part of its territory. Perhaps this was the biggest reason why the empire went to war. And, what do you think, had Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman empire defeated their opponents, would there be a WW II?!

The middle east would probibly be a lot more stable today, but I'm not sure if the Ottoman Empire could have survived more than 50 years outside the general vacinity of Turkey.

It would have become a colony of Germany in all but name. The Germans would have dismembered it the moment they needed to.
