i need an introduction to the beginning of my essay.. like i know wat i want the body to b of but i dont have an introduction... like should i put a quick background of wat the civil war is??
the essay question is why did the south think the civil war was right? and why did the north?

Alright, you should say something like: The Civil war was not fought to send slavery at first. The south was for states right(they had the right to cessede from the union) Lincoln didn't want them to cessede. Lincoln just wanted the Union back together "a House divided cannot stand." The North wanted to keep the Union together. Say that both believed they were correct, but the North had more firepower. Yeah, and add a little something about the overall history of it.

The north didn't liked slavery. So they started a war. South liked it because they wanted to win as much as the north did. so they started a war and north win. Slavery was over. Thats all I know about civil rights.

Since you know what you are going to write in the body of the essay, write that first. Then go back and do your introductory paragraph. In this paragraph you should give an overview of what you are about to say. Once you've done the essay, it should be clearer to you what would fit well for an intro.

Well, I think that you should begin by explaining the question you are going to treat. After this, you have to establish a general framework in which you would set up the main concepts, beside making reference to the historical background.
