Tim Duncan is like the perfect powerforward the guy is so good, no flashy moves but man, he has all the fundamentals it's crazy. When u watch one of his games, u never see him shine but somehow, he just gets the job done, it's amazing, and no KG is not better than duncan.

CHARLES BARKLEY IS BETTER....

I agree, Duncan dominates both sides of the floor. He makes his teammates better. He could do it all. Great in the clutch. Saves his best basketball for the playoffs. The only bad thing is his FT% but besides that he's just the best. I think he should win the defensive player of the year.

KG has never won anything, If Duncan was on the Twolves they would of made the playoffs every year, and probably gotten to at least the second round every year. KG is like Webber, great stats but just disappears in the clutch.

You are forgeting guys like Bob Petit, Moses Malone, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Kevin McHale, so, to say he's the best PF ever to play the game is a little bold, but he's making his case to be in the list of the best ever, even though not just the best just yet. For me i think Moses and Barkley have the edge mainly for the 3 MVP's and a championship that Moses has, and the heart and ferocity that Barkley had at both ends of the floor.

Duncan is a good pick. Some consider him a center, he is mostly a power forward. I can't believe some here picked Barkley. Barkley couldn't guard a tree.
Some consider Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, and Ben Wallace as power forwards also. Currently the NBA is in a great age for them.
Past power forwards of note include Karl Malone, Elvin Hayes and Jerry Lucas. Duncan probably outrates all of them.

confident, Duncan is the ideal PF ever. To my suggestions, the main marvelous element approximately him, much greater the the titles and awards, is his consistency. The Spurs have a greater effective winning share then the different significant professional activities team over the final 10 years. They have not lost greater then 30 video games in a season via fact Duncan joined them. They have not had a good draft %. in consistently, yet a technique or the different each year the Spurs are a identify contender. you have considered the Lakers win 3 titles, fall out of the playoffs fullyyt, then rebuild and win yet another ring in that comparable term. supply up making excuses for Malones loss of rings via claiming he performed interior the Jordan era. Malone had Stockton, a ideal 50 of all time participant, Mark Eaton who became two times named DPOY, and a HOF coach in Jerry Sloan. and he would desire to nonetheless in basic terms handle 2 finals appearances. it is not Jordans fault that Malone could no longer even make it out of the West. specific, the two cases he did make the finals the Jazz lost to the Bulls, yet whether Malone had gained the two cases he made the finals, he'd nonetheless in basic terms have a million/2 as many rings as Duncan does. different contenders for many suitable PF Barkley - No rings McHale - no longer even appropriate participant on his own team Dirk - super scorer, no protection. No rings. Garnett - on no account in a position to boost his team till he joined a pair of all-initiate with the Celtics.

Tim Duncan is one of the best players in the NBA today! 3 championships is way better than Charles Barkley and KG combined (and I'm not saying that those two are bad).

c'mon. TD loves to be considered a PF but he's really a center. with that, he's out of the running. I was born in the 80's so I dont know any good forwards from 70's and below.

i have to say its karl malone. he is the definition of a power forward during his time. a strong low post scorer, decent 12-15 ft jumper, great finisher in the fastbreak or pick and roll. good rebounder, good passer even when two timed. a physical defender and knows all the tricks out there (elbows, shoulder, knees, feet).

BUT, Dirk has redefined the power forward spot and i believe he will be right up there with malone when his playing days are over.

Duncan is the best "PF" to ever win a championship, there are those who are better, Charles was, Malone was simply because he could do it all, KG is just as good if not better and Marion is proving he can do just as well as Duncan can even tho he isnt as tall

charles had a lot of things going against him(short for a PF,fat, lazy, hated playing D, hated practicing) but still made things work. that was what amazed me about him.

he was always better than malone in my opinion, but when injuries came and took over his career mailman overtook him.

i still think those 2 are better than TD. mchale...well, thats a toss-up for me. he, like duncan had so many low post moves and defended the basket well.

TD is not nearly as good as MALONE or CHARLES his competition is weak compared to the other two and he is a big product of how games are being officiated these days. i am tired of everyone calling him Mr fundamental when he travels every play, he does not compare to Malone and Charles in their prime and overall

probably the best real power forward Ive ever seen play is Karl Malone, strong, a good passer, and developed a nice step back jumper...an easy hall selection with huge career numbers...
