I need a PCV Valve NOW and no matter where I go, they try to sell me the wrong part. The valve I need is a black plastic one that's threaded on the side that goes into the valve cover, yet a smaller, steel, unthreaded one is what seems to be popping up in the computer at all the parts stores. I'm at a loss.

the hose connected to the valve that goes into my valve cover sucks together, yet when I take it off of the valve and plug the end of the hose with my finger, the hose doesn't suck up.

Sounds like its working if it is sucking the hose shut. Whats wrong though is that your hose is bad, if the rubber is oil soaked or just worn from age, it will pull shut under vacuum. Either way, go to your local dealer and buy a new one, it should come as a complete unit, hose and valve.

The PCV valve that you are looking for is probably not a PCV valve. That engine has a different breather syststem that does not utilize a PCV valve. Why do you think it needs to be replaced? What kind of problem are you trying to fix?If you take that part out that you are wanting to replace & shake it does it rattle? If not it probably isn't a PCV valve.

They might of upgraded the PVC, it might not look the same, but might still fit. Take the old one off and take it with you to get the exact match.

And what did the dealership say when you told them that wasn't right, and showed them what you really needed? They would be your best source of information.
