I usually go to my boyfriends house for dinner on Wednesdays, I always cook and my 4 year old daughter (from a previous relationship) comes along. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do for Valentines day dinner so it is still romantic but child friendly?

On Valentines day I will have my 4 year old daughter from a previous relationship with me. My current boyfriend loves her and accepts her. What should I do for Valentines dinner to make it more romantic than usual but still child friendly?

I have tried to get a babysitter, but have had no luck, all my usual babysitters are busy Valentines night.

if you have a pasta maker, you should make heart shaped ravioli's. fill them with whatever you like, and let the child choose also and it will be great for both the important people in your life.

How about a risotto.. so easy!

2 cups risotto
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup (cooked) shredded chicken
1/2 cup frozen peas

(split it at the end and add some seafood to yours too!)

cook the risotto until most of the liquid is absorbed, stirring frequently. Add chicken and peas and cover until heated through.
My 3 year old son gobbles this down, and it looks really pretty on a plate!

You could also do something nice for the two of you like seafood and steak, and get her a Kids Cuisine as a treat. My son thinks that is better than going out :)
