the molecular formula weight would be:

20x12.01 (C) + 12 x 1.01(H) = 252.32

The empirical formula is:

C5H3

The empirical formula weight is:

5 x 12.01 (C) + 3 x 1.01 (H) = 63.08

The relationship is that the molecular weight is a multiple of the empirical weight, because the molecular formula is a multiple of the emprical formula.

mol. wt=12*2+16+1*12=52
relation:

(empirical formula)n=mol. formula
so,emp. formula=CO^0.5H^6
