Great Division, tough call. I think the Oilers have as good a shot as anybody. I like the Conroy trade for Calgary and the Oilers should have gotten more for Pronger, but Smyth is the man. Ranger fan, no Bias. Watch out for the wild Gaborik healthy is a scary player. I will say this, I think that division has the best fans who are the most knowable.

Oilers? Are you serious? Currently stuck in the cellar and you think they'll win the division? You're out of your gourd! I'm surprised everyone hasn't mentioned the talent the Wild possess! This team was without their star player Gabby for almost 40 games and are still only 3 points out of 1st place! And you think we rely on our goalies too much? (Before I respond to that, I'm not sure how a team relies on a goalie too much, they're there to stop the puck). I suppose I could take that as a compliment because you stole our BACKUP (Roloson) last year! Both Manny and Backstrom (our goalie of the future in my opinion) are worthy of starting positions in the NHL! Bring on the playoffs, baby!

I think the Oilers were a fluke last year with the right pieces put into place (Pronger and a hot goalie). I don't think they have a credible "D" this year and Roloson is showing what he's really like between the pipes. I feel CGY and VAN are going to be competeing for the top slot in the NW. Once Kipper and Luongo get rolling, EDM's going to be looking up.

I think the Oilers are gonna finish dead last in the Northwest Division. They put way too much stock in Roloson and have failed to secure some support on the defense in front of him. Oilers are in tough if they don't make a trade soon.

calgary doesnt rely on their goaltending too much, their scoring has been taking the team, the only team that relies on their goalie to much in Vancouver, edmonton doesnt have the depth to go anywhere again. Calgary is the best pick to come out o that tought division

even if thier key players stop getting hurt.. I don't think so..

Roloson is a great goalie but not elite like Edmonton fans like to believe.. loss of pronger hurt the team defensively, and are currently the worst in their division in terms of goals against and near the bottom in their division for goals scored.. they will finish 7th, 8th or 9th in the conference...

Last year the oilers barely made the playoffs. But then they had Pronger and Peca, they were two of the top players on the Oilers. So I doubt they will win their division. But still.
GO OILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oilers... nope it just can't happen, make the playoffs? Maybe, win the division, No, it just can't be done with that much inconsistency.

Lately the only nickname for that team can be SSH... can you hear Stoll, Sykora, or Hemsky??? cause you sure can't see them contributing.

Calgary might take but they won't because of the OILERS.
