I took 3 first response the first day I was late...Each one the line was lighter than the next...But I was definitely pregnant!!! If you get a second line saying you are pregnant they are over 99% positive. Sounds like good news. Congrats!

The positive line is really faint. Is this okay? An HPT tells you exactly one thing: your urine either has detectable pregnancy hormone in it, or it doesn't. The darkness or lightness of a line doesn't mean much. Generally speaking, a very light line can mean there is a small amount of hCG in your urine, and a very dark line can mean there is a larger amount of hCG in your urine. This is why you may get a faint positive at 10 DPO but a darker positive at 18 DPO. However, this is not always true. Tests are all different, and even tests in the same box may differ in sensitivity. Comparing light/dark lines will just drive you nuts. If you see a line in the "results" window, you're preg!

yes, any line is a positive. it's faint because there is only a small amount of hcG. if you retest in a few days the line will be darker. i did a test a about 4 weeks ago and it was real faint, almost not even there. i wasn't sure if i was seeing it because it was there or because i wanted it to be there. i went to the doctors to confirm and i'm now 8 weeks preggo. you should definitely use the clear blue digital next time. that's what i used. it'll say "pregnant" so there's no line to interpret. congrats!

If the line is pink at all, the answr is yes!!! No matter how faint, if there is a line, it means there is ncg in your urine, and it ould only be there if you were pregnant! Congratulations! However, if the line is gray or white, it could be an evaporation line, which doesn't mean anything. I was pretty muc in the same boat as you, so I bought a Clearblue Digital (which also shows 5 days before the missed period), so that I could see it full-on spell out "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant"...and it said "Pregnant"! Best of luck to you and your hubby and new baby!!!!!

I'm thinking somebody's having a baby. Pregnancy tests are measured by HGC If you see a faint line in the positive window then Congrats. Your probably taking the test very early after conception and/or taking it later in the day. I personally think your pregnant if you want to be sure wait about a week and take the test the first thing in the morning.

The same thing happened to me last weekend. I was very newly pregnant so the line was faint. As the days went on, the line got darker but was still 'faint.' I recommend the ClearBlue Easy test that just displays 'not pregnant' or 'pregnant' -- it is SO much easier. Good luck!

I had a faint pink second line on my pregnancy test with first response, and guess what? I'm 24 weeks with our first baby! Retest again in a few weeks if you're unsure, but sometimes symptoms such as nausea and headaches will appear quickly enough. Good luck!

Congrations! Yes i do believe theirs a baby on the way. But if you are like me and just can't believe it i would repeat it in a week or so.And i had been trying for a baby for many years and when i finally conceive it did really sink in until i felt my baby move. That's when it finally did come to reality that i was in fact have a baby. I was so scared the whole way through my pregnancy and every time i went for a scan i felt so much better. Congrations once again!

yes, a line, even a faint one, is positive. however, you might want to retest in a few weeks just to make sure.
