define popularity?
popular as in: group of people that everyone thinks are hot and nice, but are really b.itches and w.hores who everyones scared of?
or
popular as in: everyone likes, maybe not the hottest or prettiest, but well liked by everyone and diff. cliques?
i think its the second one
try to make friends with different people...still keep ur current friends tho

You might keep trying and trying to be on the inside, and even if you do get there, you'll eventually realize it wasn't worth it. Think about what you're leaving behind. How would your friends feel if you just suddenly dropped them for someone "better"? I'll tell you, I've been in that position, where my best friend decides to go join the popular group after eleven years of being friends... I was depressed for eight months.
It's one thing to be likeable, quite another to be popular. Just be yourself and everything will work out fine. Besides, no one likes a wannabe.

If your not popular already then it'll be too hard to become one now. I have had many opportunities to be popular but I turned them all down because people talk about you more when your popular. That means that people will be talking about your bad qualities which makes them not like you. If you still really want to be popular then try this...You don't need tons of makeup. (shocker.!.) just a slight brush of
cover up and eye shadow((((((((((((and defiantly mascara if your old enough to wear it))))))))))))))))))))))) and have an outgoing, confident personality. Being smart really helps and if you get enough sleep during the night (which is imposable in middle school and high school) will help you with your bright personality. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!

I was the popular girl in school growing up. Now I am in my mid 20's and I only have a few friends, but they are real true friends. It's not quantity it's quality. Things change if and when you go to college too. You meet new friends with similar goals as yours. When you grow up, you and everyone you go to school with will go in totally different directions in life. Being happy and confident in yourself is the most important thing. (And by the way, all of the other "popular" kids I went to school with ended up never leaving the town we grew up in. They hang out with younger kids and basically act like they are still in high school. They are mostly jobless losers.) Focus on going somewhere with your life.

To be popular you be who you are by the popular kids act like you dont know them and you have no intrust to be there friends and show attitude when you walk and most of all when you see them dont go crazy act cool and calm and if they sit by you and class be all im sorry you cant sit hear!Show that you have your own group and fallow the laws of fashion out dress them! BE PREPPY thats the best law and everyone loves preppy girls with knee high juicy couture socks $12 Lacoste or kitson shirts $48-38 and cute minnie skirts thats plaid you know with those cute lines about $110-12 <-- the cheapist thing and a cute juicy purse about $195-148! And SNEAKERSSS Cute balerina shoes or kitson sneakers! Balerina shoes you can find them anywhere and make sure they match Kitson shoes about $80-40 most places have them!ALso jeans get true religion $340-200!

then maybe the popular kids arent good enough for you.. ask your self this.. if you did make it in the popular crowd, would you always want to be teased because your not up to style.. or your not skinnie enough...you your boyfriend is ugly.. from experiance..alot of them are mean.. they pick on ppl in there own group unless they have known them their whole lives and even then it still doesnt stop some..most of them are dumb nuts and have no clue about life out side their little world..i say this about most people in the popular crowd but not all some are nice and will treat you nice..but most the time it doesnt go like that..try being yourself and if they dont like it owell..youve got more sense then them..you dont see your self turning them away....just be you.. make friends that want to be friends..

Just be yourself...maybe you should ask is it more important to be superficial/popular with many or truly loved by few? Don't kid yourself, we can only handle having a handful of good friends because we have only so much time and attention...everyone else is just an acquaintance. People are attracted to and admire people who are themselves and know their own value.

wear the coolest clothes....alwaz match...expensive stuff
dont be a loser or hang out w/ them
start intrestin small talk w/ the populars
be preppy
have a boyfriend
make the guys want u
no whats going on in your school
and if this doesnt work...dont stress just be your self and get over it u will grow up graduate and forget about all those people and move on w/ your life w/ better things to do

Just be the outgoing person you are. It might take a while. That's how I got popular. Don't worry people will definitely like you for who you are.

i know my opinion may not count to much but personally being popular is a bunch of crap, try not to care what others think and be you! remember trying to be someone your not will only make you look like a fool. good luck and sorry i couldnt be much help.
