u can get forgiveness but to regain the trust lost is harder. so even though its easier to ask for forgiveness its better to ask permission

LOL. I use that phrase all the time to justify doing something that my husband (or my bishop, or someone else) might not whole-heartedly approve of -- always in a joking manner, of course. "Oh, well, it's easier to get forgiveness than permission". (No, I'm not Catholic)
