I've heard it on pretty much every instrument imaginable. I even played it at a wedding once with a guitar, violin, alto saxophone and bass (that's me) quartet...as odd as that sounds (we played it very well...its just a weird combination of instruments). I'm not sure if you are referring to electric, acoustic or classical guitar, but I think it can be awesome on any one of those instruments. It's overplayed, incredibly simple...and BEAUTIFUL. This piece will never get old for me.

I have heard myself playing it from time to time.
It sounds great on a nylon string classical guitar, better than in any other instrument IMO.
