That word might have meant something hundreds of years ago. But it does not now. I don't like the word one bit. I think the ones that is the bastard is the ones who call children who had nothing to do with their paternity the word.

My parents got divorced after we were born, so I guess we are children of a single mom? (Divorce didn't exist back then here in Chile, so my parents had an anullment...like their marriage never existed. Makes you think, right?)
