The question that was raised that caused the beginning of the 50 vs. Cam'ron beef *if u haven't heard it yet, take a listen @ http://thesurfacenews.blogspot.com/2007/02/50-cent-argues-with-camron-styles-p.html * was is it better to be on a major label with a lot of top names (and you aren't yet established as a platinum selling artist) or to be on an independent label?

Whats your opinion?

I'm siding with Cam'ron. If your not selling records like Ludacris, Nelly, Em, or 50 Cent its not wise to sign to a Major Label such as Def Jam, Interscope, or Universal. Its wrong to call Koch a graveyard company for non major emcee because everybody gotta eat major or non major... Mobb Deep, Llyod Banks Tony Yayo both had poor sell on a major (G-unit/Interscope), MOP has yet to be released. Cam’ron is now signed to Diplomats Records/Asylum $2.5 million three-year deal and he has disturibtion deals with KOCH, DEF JAM, and ASYLUM. Nowadays all major artist have a commerical pop appeal, 50 cent hasn't made gangsta music in a very long time now, songs like Candy shop, Best Friend, and Disco Inferno are bubble gum pop at best. Dipset is for the streets... Beside if you believe Koch is a graveyard why would you let your own artist (Prodigy) sign to die label

If you wanna sell 300,000 and make 90 cents per album, good for you. Work with 50 and Interscope. If you want to sell 300,000 and make $7-8 an album, go independant and put in the leg work. Do the math people
