Einstein concluded there is a God with only circumstantial evidence. How about UFOs?

Absolutely yes. A UFO is by definition an UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT. If we don't know what it is, and there are a number of things that fit this, than it is a UFO. That doesn't mean that he would agree that there were flying saucers or little green men. Only he could give a conclusive answer.

I think you got it wrong. Einstein and any other intelligent person could not discount a creator, because we do not understand what set the universe in motion or how life is generated from innanimate matter.

Until we know and understand those processes, nobody can discount a creator.

In that sense, we cannot discount other lifeforms in the universe. However, there is no evidence that UFOs are anything to do with extra-terrestrials. So, there is no logical reason to suggest that there are.

Einstein would not have given over time to fanciful ideas that had no basis in reality.

First, to correct a misconception, Einstein did not believe in a personal god. His own words below:

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it"

This was a quote directly from him collected in a biography titled "Albert Einstein, The Human Side."

Second, no, he would've dismissed the theory of UFOs being alien spacecraft. This is the same guy who wrote Special and General Relativity . . . both of which tend to impose a cold, hard wall of reality in the way of any would-be interstellar travellers.

He would, in a heartbeat. Why, because billions of stars exist in the universe accompanied with some planets revolving around them. Why not other lifeforms other than ours? Logic and deduction rules apply here.

Think about our own little world. There are several species of lifeforms that exist here. Animal, mineral, vegetable, etc. There is one sun, 10 planets, and several moons in our particular solar system. Billions of other suns with other planets that exist just like we exist in the universe. Maybe they don't act, communicate, look like we do, or are constructed like we are...bur exist - you betcha!

Now just think....what are the chances that we are ALONE out here...and that Albert Einstein, with all that God-given knowledge, would NOT conclude that we are alone - I don't think so!

HE would be the one they would have made a beeline for if they knew of HIS existence if he lived, I'd bet, NOT the Prez, nor the Military! Stephen Hawking and other brain trusts would have to be some of the people they would like to talk with at this point.

Or maybe we humans are WAY too arrogant a species for the aliens to deal with and they want to communicate with the animals instead. BOY, would WE be in TROUBLE if THAT happened, the way WE treat the animals on this planet!

Besides, that, there are too many people seeing, photographing, and videographing too many flying objects that cannot be explained away very easily. Some extraterrestrial species are visiting us and are very curious as to what we are all about....

All I know is that he is famous for forming the Special Theory of Relativity and he tried to come up with a "unifying force" for all objects, but in vain. I didn't know he concluded there is a God with only circumstantial evidence. Thanks for the two points though!
