How do I get Rights Over A film Name and The plot?

Once somebody stole my my movie plot and now i really want to get my rights for the Movie name and Plot. So if somebody tries to take the name or the plot I can sue.

Steal it back, copyright it or something then sue him for stealing it.

But before that videotape him with the movie plot or something.

Then again, you don't really have to sue him/her... do you?

Talk to a lawyer specialized in publishing and copyright law. You cannot copyright titles (example: "Mask" was the title of two movies; one starring Jim Carrey and the other starring Cher) but Hollywood hates to re-use titles right away.
