i am going into highschool next year but i am scaried out of my wits. my friends are going to the same school as me so i am not afraid of that but i am afraid of bullies. there are a lot of books and movies out there about bullies in highschool and i don't want to be the victim. What do i do to avoid the wrath of bullies???

note to candance from a high school freshman, be ready please!!! I'm still struggling even though my average is 95. Strive to do your best cause freshman year is about doing well!! Be organized and study the for midterms 3 weeks b4!!

Don't be so scared - your high school years will probably turn out to be your best ever! You said your friends will be going to the same school, so you've already got people to hang out with. Remember, there's safety in numbers.
Try to blend in with the crowd until you have a better feel for the school, who the bullies are, etc. Find out where they hang out, and try to avoid being alone in that area. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Don't allow yourself to be a victim. Saying "i don't want to be the victim." has put you there already. Be nervous, but not afraid. High school is a big step in life. Bullies only look for those that let the pick on them.

BWAHAHAHAHAHHAH!!! Im a sophmore and i was a freshman last year. Actually being a freshman isnt too bad although the rest of the school hates you, we do little about u guys. Follow these simple rules to stay out of trouble...never walk slow in the halls, it pisses me off since only freshmen seem to cause traffic in between classes; also it would be nice to have some friends that are not freshmen; and dont act stupid and look up to upperclassmen

do not worry. I am a junior in HS, and it has been the best 3 years of my school life. relax nothing bad will happen, take it from someone with experience, like me. trust me you will like it, you get a lot more freedom as you get older, but hey lets not forget all the party you will be going to. ;)
so relax, trust me, there are no bullies. at least where I go everybody seems to be following me and always being nice, take into account I am not the type of guy who's in the football team, has a convertible and has all the "cool stuff". so yeah...take it easy. take a chill pill.

be excited. You will have alot of fun! highschool will be scary at first but you will have some good years ahead of you. Just keep your head up and walk right past the bullies! Good Luck

I am starting next year too. I am scared but excited at same time. I am really sad because some of my friends are going to a different school but most of my friends are. Just be yourself and be brave. Good luck!!

No, it's the same old middle school bullsh*t just blown up and out of proportion. Oh yeah, and more stupid as* cliques
And prepared to be automatically annoying because your a freshman...not my rules just the unwritten policy and law of highschool DRAMA

high school is nothing like television shows it as
i was scared to but it is way better than jr high ir elementary, theres more freedom
and bulies don't beat up dorks at my school
my friends and i are probably the biggests dorks on campus
im a drama nerd, my firned s band geek, and my other firned is a math wiz, of course we get looks but we never get beat up

to tell you the truth there are no bullies in high school i mean you will ran into people who would want to fight you but you just need to know who you should hang around with
