Yep, no problem. SATA2 is backwards compatible.

Yes, you can. However, unless the 1.5 SATA HDD has faster read/write speed, faster spindle speed, and a larger cache, I would reccomned going with the 3.0 HDD. 3.0 is better for general use, is usually cheaper, and typically has a larger storage capacity. Go for the 1.5 SATA if performance is critical.
