children are more sensitive to ghosts than adults, this is because they have not been brainwashed yet by there parents to not believe in things people can't always explain, after the age of 5 the parents whom don't believe in the paranormal have the chance to talk the kids into beliveing there way and it works with some kids, until they grow up,see or hear the paranormal and remember things from there childhood that the parents could not get rid of. these are the kids that become paranormal sensitive adults.

I believe so. I've always put it down to the fact that children have not had their minds directed into not believing these phenomena, therefore they don't think it's wrong to see them.
My brother as a baby used to smile at something standing in his bedroom doorway, usually a few minutes before my father got home from work. The presence he smiled at was sensed by a number of people who spent time in the house, and none of the occupants since my family lived there have stayed long.
There is a theory that some animals (such as cats) have this same sensitivity for much the same reason, they're never told they aren't supposed to see these things.

Sometimes children can see and hear things that adults can't. I am a paranormal investigator and have a current case where a 7 month old baby is continually watching something standing in front of her, smiling, and reaching for someone to pick her up. Interestingly two adults have also seen a fleeting apparition in the same area that the baby is always watching.

Yes They can sense it more than Adults can. They sometimes write squiggly figures you wouldn't Think of it as much but they are talking with the Dead. The same as the Ouija Board witch is really Dangerous. I read about this in Numerous Books and by Many Experts in the Field.

I say yes they can.If you believe in reincarnation the answer is really quite simple. Children have just come from the "Other World" ,they have all the answers to all the Questions you have every wanted to know and more , but by the time they can communicate this knowledge to us adults they somehow suddenly forget it. Children ,like animals are not polluted in their brain workings and see things as they really are.We adults also had this "Power" once and like the rest of us we forgot.. Some of us have spent a life time trying to regain that ability.. Blessed Be

I don't think I saw anything when I was a kid, but if this is in relation to the movie The Messengers, one of my friends from school has a younger brother who always says he sees a penguin on the front steps and that it's evil or something, and then she said he looks at the ceiling and talks to someone, and when she asked him what they were talking about, he said he wasn't allowed to tell. Maybe just an imaginary friend, but really spooky nonetheless.

I still sense that stuff and I'm 22. These ghosts are getting old. It seriously is not a gift to see ghosts, more of a curse. Send them to the light they say. They should already be there. Since my older brother passed I have been haunted less and less. JAH Bless u ART.+ps Spirits are different than the ghosts I see. These ones just won't progress........

My daughter is two as of two months ago. She runs throught the house like she's chasing somebody and she'll be waving and yelling bye bye all the way to the door. Then she wants me to pick her up to look out the window and sometimes she's puzzled. Other times she waves. I can't explain that with anything other than a spirit. Or since it happens over and over, maybe an imprint.

definitely!!!
children are pure, innocent, naive and arent clouded by so much cynicism, doubt and opinions as the adults. they are open to anything, and to them what will be far out, for them will be like normal. I had a friend called Lulu when i was young whom i remember so clearly. she was oldish, always stayed with me and played with me... but no one remembers her or has any knowledge of her... not even my brother who was younger then.
funny things like those...in my culture its believed that newborns can sense these things and if a baby constantly crie night after night even though they arent sick, it means there is something evil in or around the home... a traditional doctor is called in to do whatever he can... then after that the baby stops, and we know whatever it was has been kicked out.

I believe that children can. I believe we are all born with that ability. The problem is that most children are "Conditioned" out of it or it is pushed to the back burner.
