I have a project for biology. We have to create a cell model. It can either be an animal cell or a plant cell.

But for extra-credit, we can create a specific kind of cell like these:
-nerve cell
-intestinal lining cell
-muscle cell
-etc....

So my question is, What is the best and easiest cell to make?

Erm, look in your bio book, they always have a "generalized" picture of a cell, of which never exists in the real world.

And as for your cell model, the only real difference a specific type of cell would be would just be the shape or the look of it; you don't learn enough in middle school or high school to be able to note the special biochemistry and anatomy of each cell, and these thigns will be too small to model anyway. Just do like an intestinal lining cell- epithelial cells are pretty straightforward

Nerve cells would most certainly not be the easiest to build- neurons have extremely intricate design, and there is no more intricately organised aggregate of matter anywhere on earth and probably the universe than the human nervous system.

I am not sure of the easiest but the nerve cell is by far the toughtest. Trust me i took Biology a year ago with the toughest teacher, in an honors class and passed it with an A and an O citizenship.

Nerve cells are complex but interesting

Muscle cells have 3 varities of shapes, depending on which muscle you choose. But are pretty straight forward

Intestinal cells, are long, columnar cells which are usually ciliated. Increasing surface area. Definately more challeneging, only because they're are alot of factors to include, but if I was the teacher I would be inpressed by this response

I don't know about easiest, but I think the nerve cell would be pretty interesting to build and would show well.

♫ being lazy I’d prefer a cell of hydra body or a cell of a plant leaf; both are almost round and of simplest structure and shape. Just classic cells.
