The only messenger service that works is AIM. I've tried updating, going to older versions, fixing firewalls, etc. No error notices ... just "connecting" and nothing happens.

does it work then?

if not and websites load ok and AIM is working then its prob more of there error not urs. u can dothe msn messenger check what happens if you cant log on, this will tell you what the problem is.

are you going through a router? wireless connection?

I suggest turning everyhting you have off and then restarting it all just to see if this works...also clear the temp files,

Go to My Computer. go to Settings.control panels> add/remove programs. Select'______Anti-spy. Click change/remove and follow the instructions from there. (What usually happens is that one tries to add a different toolbar...like Yahoo...and the spy-ware comes with it...set to HIGH. Stops everything else cold. Hope this works for you. Gina C.

MSN just upgraded, you may have to remove it and then reinstall it. I had to do that earlier this week. Works now. Every time MS upgrades something gets screwed up and one needs to start over.
