Well a rebuilt motor is probably around $1200. Then if you are not going to do it yourself you would have to pay someone to install it.
Head gasket can be replaced for around $500 ( at least that is what I charge)

if you blow a head usauly the engine wont be damage but if you take the haed off and you see melt pistons then you need a overhaul but if you didnt run the car hot to much i wouldnt worry just take the head to a machine shop and have it check and resurface dont spend money if you dont hope it helps u

i own a repair shop,and if you want it done right so that it will last a long time it would take around 2 thousand to do it right,and do all the machine work on it,but it would last a long time,a cheap re-build isn't worth fooling with ,they wont hold up,good luck i hope this help,s.
