He's not crazy- he's boring. I stopped listening to him years ago and everytime he's on my radio for 10 seconds I hear the same words I did then "And then the drive-by media and the dirty liberals....blah blah blah"
And I'm a conservative!

No, I disagree, he wouldn't be able to be a successful talk show host and as for his drug addiction, well heaven forbid if y'all ever have a condition that you need pain medicine for, or one of your loved ones. I doubt you would be calling your child or mother that if you were in that same situation.

No crazier than any other drug addicted sociopath. And since there are so many Right Wing Authoritarian (RWA) sociopaths, does that make him just just a money grubbing pervert with a God complex but otherwise normal? I have way too much gag reflex to look closely.

There has been a lot of research on the pathology however, mostly on people stupid enough to listen and agree with him.
Extensive research has shown that RWA's

* Make many incorrect inferences from evidence.
* Hold contradictory ideas leading them to ‘speak out of both sides of their mouths.’
* Uncritically accept that many problems are ‘our most serious problem.’
* Uncritically accept insufficient evidence that supports their beliefs.
* Uncritically trust people who tell them what they want to hear.
* Use many double standards in their thinking and judgements
* Be dogmatic.
* Be zealots.
* Be hypocrites.
* Be absolutists
* Be bullies when they have power over others.
* Help cause and inflame intergroup conflict.
* Seek dominance over others by being competitive and destructive in situations requiring cooperation.
* Believe they have no personal failings.
* Avoid learning about their personal failings.
* Be highly self-righteous.
* Use religion to erase guilt over their acts and to maintain their self-righteousness.
