Well I like this girl but this girl is my friend's sister and I'm wondering if asking this girl out will ruin our friendship.

Talk to your friend first. If he's not cool with it don't do it.

Ask your friend and don't listen to anyone that says different.
It's not right to date your friends sister if he's going to have a problem with it unless you want to have a problem with him.

Which will end up causing problems with him and his sister.
I'm sorry but family comes before dating and anyone who thinks differently is a little slow. If you think its possible to date someone's sister while they have a problem with it..you will learn that its not worth it.... Since you can't be deeply inlove with her..it just isn't worth it. There are way to many people in the world to be selfish and cause those kinds of problems.

It's simple...ask your friend and then leave it at that.

What if you date her and it doesn't workout and something horribly goes wrong..What if you end up deciding she isn't for you but she thinks differently..thats a situation no man wants to be in..and then you are friends with her brother..double wammy.. With the % of failing relationships compared to working relationships odds are it isn't going to work.

Remember friends sometimes know you better than you know yourself..does he have reasons he wouldn't want you with his sister.

There is no way I would have dated my friends sisters even though a few were very datable. Friends know too much about you and loyalty goes to the sister. :)

You need to tell your friend that you want to ask his sister out and ask him if that would make him feel weird or change your friendship. If he thinks it will, you need to honor his feelings and not ask his sister out. Your friendship should come first.

You absolutely without question have to tell your friend first. Even if your friend would of been ok with it, going behind his back is grounds enough to ruin a friendship.

in your position i would suggest asking your friend first, you never know he might be cool with the whole situation. But if it turns out that hes not and you are truly falling for this girl then you have to make the decision of whether or not to risk your friendship with him for his sister. (wat ever you do dont act on impulse... give some serious thought into this decision)...... Good luck and hope everything works out

I would suggest you talk to your friend first about the situation. get his thoughts about everything. that way if your upfront he should not get mad if you do decide to ask her out. he may be okay with it but you wont know until you ask... good luck

talk to him about it first. be respectful and be like "hey, are you coll with this, blahblahblah" tell him that you're not going to sleep with her or hurt her (and mean it!!!) and that you'll be good and all that stuff. runing a friendship isn't worth getting a gf

If it ruins your relationship then that is stupid and it wasnt a good relationship to begin with.

Hi Chris M,

Have you tried to casually talk to your friend about it, you know just talk in general terms about how she feels about that situation.

:)
