I had a DVD player and a VCR before. I used the VCR to record my favorite shows. There is an hour of programing on the tape right now. Is it time to watch the last video tape ever?

I'm not saying that I'm not atached to it, but how much do you think a quick-reaction, SP/EP video cassette recorder is worth now? How much will it be worth in 50 years?

Keep it as souvenier and you might get some money on ebay in 20 years, but get rid of the rest! makes no sense to keep them..

Never that will some day be a collectible. Remember old nintendos I still have my first record player and my first VCR....

as soon as we got our dvd player and dvr we got rid of the vcr and all the tapes..took the stuff we had recorded onto our camcorder to a place that transcribed them onto dvd

I have a dvd and VHS player. They both work. And for "taping" shows ... there is the EPIC DV-R and Tivo.

No -- I'd keep them for awhile -- never know when you might want to watch them

No never always keep them. You may get rid of them, then you will miss them.
