I think it's the Ryan Leaf trade
Ryan Leaf: To move up one spot, the Chargers traded two first-round picks, a second-round pick and four-time Pro Bowler Eric Metcalf, Matt Hasselback was available later in the draft, Leaf went second overall to Peyton Manning. Other first rounders included Charles Woodson, Fred Taylor, Takeo Spikes and Randy Moss.

As a response to the Walker trade, I think that might be worse than Ryan Leaf, but the Vikings traded 5 players and 6 draft picks, not 6 players and 12 draft picks.

It has to be ole "11-for-1". Herschel Walker going to the Vikings was a disaster for them. He wasn't worth three players, let alone five players AND six picks.

The Vikings sending 6 players and 12 draft picks(Emmitt Smith,Darren Woodson to name a couple) to the Cowboys for Herschel Walker.
It gave the Cowboys a foundation for thier 3 titles in the early 90's.
Funny thing is Walker ended up back in Dallas down the road so they basically got something for nothing.
There isnt even a close second.

are you kidding me ????????? all of those trades PALE in comparison to how badly the Chargers raped the Falcons. Chargers gave up their #1 to Atlanta and the Falcons drafted Vick. with the 2 picks the Chargers received in the deal they drafted Tomlinson and Brees. Brees for Vick all by itself would been the Chargers raping the Falcons ...... then you add TOMLINSON to the mix ? oh my word, the Chargers should be in jail.
it would also appear that the NY Giants didnt learn from watching the Falcons get bent over by the Chargers. Rivers for Manning is beginning to look like more criminal activity on the part of the Chargers.

Definitely the Herschel Walker trade, which begat 3 Super Bowls and a handful of Hall of Famers for the Cowboys, while killing the Vikings for another decade. I mean really, that was pretty spectacular.

I think it's the Leaf trade, because crapping out on a franchise quarterback crippled the Chargers for a few years until it was finally confirmed how awful he was. As least Walker was mildly productive in the NFL after his trade.

the Herschel Walker trade. Walker was an excellent back but, the teams that He ended up with after the cowboys, didn't know how to utilize His talent. they all tried to run Him out of a two back set. this didn't work because He was out of the university of GEORGIA. like Rodney Hampton, He was an I back. the other teams, failed to use Him as such.
