Theres this girl whos a year older than me and we've been friends for a while and chat often. Recently ive really become to like her, but at the same time, she has talked to me about some other guy that she likes so Ive never told her how i feel. How do I make myself more appealing than the other guy? Obviously i dont have a very high opinion of him and think of myself very highly (since I am the swim team captain and excell in academics, and etc). How do I make myslef more noticable. Lately ive noticed that our friendly relationship has been getting thinner and we only ocassionally talk online and rarely aknowledge eachother in the halls. Everytime we talk even online i dont know what to say anymore and all i think about is how to make us together. It has been a huge distraction recently. IDK, maybe she is intimidated and thinks that i wont accept her since Im pretty accomplished and shes not that accomplished but I really dont care. I like her for her personality anyway.

Answer to answer #1, I never brag bout myself. Im very selfless and would rather hear her blab bout herself than tell her about myself. I listen to her well to and have emotionally helped her in several situations

well, you cant make the other guy look bad or you'll lose brownie points with her. you see her in school, so take advantage of that time and be sweet, kind and manly i guess. lol IDK

You should relax. First you could be sending out vibes that you feel differently about her. It is a breeze when you don't like someone. When you do like someone it is written all over your face. People tend to tense up and become really self conscience.
It shows you are pretty confident, maybe she isn't as confident as you are. Keep talking to her and show her your her friend. That is the best thing you can do. Start saying hi again. That's how you become noticeable. Stop talking on line and talk to her in person. Tell her that you've missed talking to her in the hallways. Be yourself and you'll be fine. Good luck.

She probably realized that you are bit high on yourself and was turned off.

Good for her.
