Wow, I'm so glad that I saw this question. Sweating of the hands is also known as "hyperhidrosis." Specifically, it's called "Palmar hyperhidrosis." Usually, people with hyperhidrosis have excessive sweating in one or all of the following:hands, feet, underarms, and usually are born with it or get it at puberty and will last forever.

I suffer from it unfortunately, too, and I have tried every topical antiperspirant (maxim, driclor, certain dri, antihydral) on my hands with NO success. I don't recommend a sympathectomy (what one of the comments above me said) because that involves surgery in which a nerve is cut that causes hand sweating and in turn causes compensatory sweating (sweating a lot in other parts of the body) and it's not good to mess with the nerves. There is one treatment called "iontophoresis" which involves the hands to be placed in water baths of electric current, and this seems to be the one with the most success. The best one out there is by "R.A. Fischer" but they're really expensive and hard for insurance to cover (I'm still working with my insurance to get them to cover it). I'm going to provide you with links that are very informative and should help you out a lot. If you have any other questions, feel free to e-mail me. I am a sufferer of hyperhydrosis and have researched a lot about it! Hope that helped!

Ok I've got good news for you. There is a product called "Driclor" go to your pharmacist or your doctor and ask about that product it is specifically used for people who perspire a lot. It comes in like a roll on. At night you wash your hans and dry them well then roll it on your hands and in between your fingers wait till it dries and then go to bed. In the morning you wash it. You have to do this everynight for about a week , you will see results without a doubt( you can use it on any part of the body underarms, feet etc....

How is this a problem? It's my opinion those without sweaty palms have under-active sweat glands. They need help, like drugs, creams, or surgery. If you need dry hands for gripping....use chalk.

It's about as bad as trying to correct left-handedness.
