I had a m/c a few months ago, so everything scares me. I found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks ago, and don't go in for my first dr. appt. until next week. I've read tons of things online that say spotting is normal in early pregnancy, especially when it's not your first pregnancy. I spotted for several days before I found that I was pregnant but it stopped shortly thereafter. The only spotting I've had since then is when I've had bowel movements. I just want to know if this is "normal". I'm having no pain, but having the regular pregnancy symptoms - mild nausea, exhaustion, sore breasts...

Hi,
I've had 3 pregnancies, and I have 2 children. I spotted with all three pregnancies. With my son and daughter, I spotted on and off (mostly just on tp, after walking a lot or when having a bm). With my loss at 10 weeks, I began spotting and it progressively got heavier with cramping and I knew there was something wrong. Call your OB and see if you can get an ultrasound or bloodwork tomorrow to ease your mind. They should get you in right away, especially since you've had a loss and have every right to be nervous. I hope everything works out fine and that you have a healthy little baby growing in there.

I had spotting with bowel movements during my third pregnancy. The blood was definitely not hemorrhoids. My doctor never figured out why I had the spotting (at 11 and 16 weeks), and I had a perfectly healthy baby girl.

yeah spotting can be normal in pregnancy it usually is right around when you miss your period and lasts usually a day or two. It should only be little spots of blood though nothing heavy with a period w/ cramping. If you were bleeding heavy then maybe you should go to a doctor to make sure everythings arlight.

Well it is better to be safe than sorry. I had some spotting and I called my doctor and they ended up hospitalizing me for a few days for dehydration and I guess that is why I spotted, I don't know. But if you are concerned, call your ob up and let them know. But just because you haven't had your first appointment, still call them and let them know; and they might bump your appointment up. Just to make sure everything is okay....

a little bit of spotting should not be anything of major concern. if you start bleeding heavily or cramping alot make sure to see your doctor.

Sounds like what I went through. I wouldn't worry about it.
