Palm trees for Northeast?

I heard there are palm trees that are very hardy even to -0's, I live in New Hampshire.

Do you know of any popular palms that would survive cold winters?
(I need a fast growing one)

I've seen it done. What they do is really put mulch around the tree about 2 inches away from the trunk just before the cold sets in. I would suggest Windmill Palm Trees, Needle Palm Trees and Palmetto Palm Trees.
