Why is gun crime associated with black people?

I.e gun crime is seemingly always committed by black peeps (like in Peckham a boy was shot dead in his bed the other day). I don't wish to make a sweeping generalisation, but I'm just interested in other peep's opinions on the question. x

You know it's funny that I found this question because this just happened to me today. I was sitting minding my own business and a black male pulled a gun on me in the parking lot. I know this a casual way to mention it, but it's just what happened. I never used to believe that all blacks were like that, but everyday I seem to have a problem with another African American due to their aggression issues and all I have to say is that I'm glad I'm not a statistic of their crimes. I have to admit that I think that African American's seem to have extreme rage issues and are one of the most dangerous groups in our entire country. Sad, but true.

Problem is what can be best termed the

respect culture


Ie many black males in teens and early 20s seem to be obessed with being seen as hard and dominant.

thats what mugging is all about... It has nothing to do with being poor. its to feel dominant through preditory acts to instill fear or hurt others so they feel big.


Naturally a gun increases this pecking order status and enables the power to just kill anyone who you consider slighting you in the tiniest amount so all your fellow males see you as big and hard.



Like too much testosterone and wanting to be alpha male.


Then its tit for tat.

Maybe its something to do with being bred in africa as warroirs and now no wars.


I dont know.


But its generally assoicated with high hormone levels in the most sexaully active years almost like

rutting to establish dominance and thats the culture


of gangs, thugs look at the music, and people shooting and finding it funny.

If you look at things like tribal violence in Africa the patterns are very similar with hardness and aggression valued and respected


In generally white groups this sort of thing appears to manifest as football violence or pub violence... same age group

I suspect that this is almost a tribal thing, in the past it would have been a knife or spear. Britain has never had the gun culture that other countries have so it is being imported by those groups that are immigrating here. However it is only criminals who carry guns so these are the problem. I seem to remember that the Yardy problem came from Jamaica.

I's because statistically speaking, black people are more to commit, and be the victims of, gun crime.

I hate to be the one to say it but most gun crimes are carried out by black people. For some reason their want to copy thier brothers from across the pond. Which is where the stereotype comes into play

black people with guns makes headlines - simple as. The media wont have so much of a field day if they tell the stories of white gun crime, if its a black person with a gun, they can climb on top of the media hype which they themselves have created.

in reality, there is no doubt the smae level of crime with white folk - just its not so widely advertised.
