turn the key forward to the on position not starting it make sure the odometer is reading and not the trip. Then turn the key back off. Now hold the trip button in and keep it held in while you turn the key to the on position keep holding the trip button until it says (cant quite remember) it will either show - - - - - or it will just blink and say reset. ANy way hope this helps you it should work.

Only a mechanic can reset those lights. If that light is on and you've changed the oil, it is highly likely the problem lies somewhere else. It is also possible the light is set to go off at certain intervals (5K, 10K, etc miles) as a reminder to bring it in for a checkup. Either way, I suggest you get a professional to look at it and find the source of the problem.

Your upkeep required mild must be manually reset after an oil change purely as defined on your vendors guide. Your automobile has no way of understanding you replaced the oil.

If you refer to the "service Reminder" lamp, the owner's manual discusses the procedure.
If you refer to the "Service Engine" or "Check Engine" lamp, the oil change isn't the issue. It is a means of the car's computer to communicate to you that it has detected a fault or failure in one of the systems or circuits monitored, and is directing you to take it to the repair shop or dealer for diagnosis and repair.

If this was the problem and you fixed it, take it to your local parts house and they will hook a scanner and reset your light.
