African dwarf frog is the smaller version that is generally safe to keep with fish. However, they need a fairly shallow aquarium (15 gallons max) because if the water is too deep they have trouble making it to the surface to breathe.

The African Dwarf frog, NOT the African Clawed frog. Clawed frogs get the size of a softball and eat fish. Most pet stores mislabel these frogs. There are websites online that show the differences so you buy the right kind.

No stay bearers (platys, mollies, guppies)- they lkike salt your frogs do not. I surely have my dwarf frog in with Cichlids. Semi-aggressive ones. I surely have Angels, Blue Rams, tetras, Cory cats and a pleco. The pleco and the frog wrestle continuously they are vicious to at least one yet another. thankfully neither one has the potential to do any damage to the different. Very young,very small underwater frogs. They eventually WILL eat your fish.
