easy....
3x^2-13x - 20 = 0
so a = 3, b = -13, c = -20, use equation
x = (-b +/- sqrt((b^2)-4ac))/2a, solve for x the +/- will give you 2 answers you need
for 2: a = 2, b = -11, c= 12, solve using same x = equation above u will get x = 3/2 and x = 4
3: 2y(y-6) = 0, y= 0, y = 6

1. 3x^2 - 13x = 10
3x^2 - 13x - 10 = 0
(3x + 2) (x - 5) = 0 : you want to set it up so the outsides--3x
and 5, times eachother, plus the insides, equals 13.
3x + 2 = 0...x = -2/3 x - 5 = 0...x = 5
2. 2x^2 = 11x - 12
2x^2 - 11x + 12 = 0
(2x + 3) (x + 4) = 0
2x + 3 = 0...x = -3/2 x + 4 = 0...x = -4
3. 2y^2 - 12y = 0 (factor out 2y): 2y (y - 6)
If this is not what you're looking for, then your teacher wants
you to complete the square, which I have forgotten how to do.

ok, right here we flow, so i will flow step by step and attempt to describe ultimate i will... x^2+6x+8 - so which you first opt to verify the final sort (c) and think of of what it is aspects are... 2 aspects of 8 are 4 and a pair of, and those upload to make 6, that's what you decide on. So now you only positioned it into factored sort: (x+4)(x+2) - it rather is the factored sort, now you only set the ingredient instruments to 0: x+4=0 Subtract 4 from the two section x=-4:it is one answer x+2=0 Subtract 2 from the two section x=-2: it is your different answer desire it is effectual! :) and that i'm hoping that's clever.

the first one is (3x+2)(x-5), second is(2x-3)(x-4), the last one is (2y+0)(y-6)

I forgot how to do those, but there's a website called
www.algebra.com
and you can send them your questions =D
but it might take a while, like an hour or so for them to reply back.
(Three questions per day I think)
