I am pregnant with my 4th child, when I was first pregnant ( before I knew) i did alot of really physically straining things and was under a TON of stress ( with a mother dying) and I didnt feel preg. I still really dont, but I have had 2 home preg tests comeback poitive and one at the health unit. I went to have an ultrasound today and they couldnt even see my uterus, just my bladder, they said maybe it is too soon, but I am 6 wks, I have ultrasounds of my other 3 at 5 and 6 wks. so now I am worried. could something be wrong and I have had no bleeding or cramping.

Basically what starts the bleeding is when the progesterone level falls far enough that your body gets the signal to bleed. In a normal pregnancy, the progesterone level keeps going up and that's where most of your pregnancy symptoms come from. Once you lose a pregnancy, the levels begin to fall but the rate at which they fall is different for everyone. I've had four miscarriages. In my first, I went in for an ultrasound at 11 weeks and nothing was there except an empty sac. My doctor said he'd wait a week to see if the miscarriage would occur naturally and if it didn't, he'd do a D&C. About a week later, I began to spot and three days after that, I actually had the miscarriage. Pregnancies can be very wild. It's hard to say what's going on with you. They should do a blood test on you though to see if your progesterone level is rising or falling. That will tell you for sure what's happening.

Maybe u are not as far along as u thought...I know when i had my miscarriage i didnt even know my babys were not alive...I went about my life normally thinking everything was fine..i started spotting and didnt cramp at all,the spotting turned into a light pass of little tissue only once and that was after a couple days of the spotting, the same day i started noticing backache and cramps on one side..I was supposed to be 12 weeks pregnant..so i went to the er and they did u/s and blood work,i lost my babys one at 7 weeks and 1 at 8 but carried them until 12 when my body finally went to its natural stage of miscarriage...

Im not saying u are having a miscarriage but maybe it is too early,or maybe it was a blighted ovum *where the baby never developed and implanted itself,or a very very early miscarriage and there were no signs..im not a doc so im not sure...but it could be a miscarriage as well that is impending, hard to tell.i know at 6 weeks i saw my baby and the heartbeating on u/s...im not that sure but pray and wait..good luck and hope everything is ok..

You can have a missed miscarriage and not know for weeks, but if you haven't had any bleeding or cramping, I wouldn't worry for now. :)
