Most of them have viruses because it depends on the file from the person who is sharing the file. If you have anti-virus it will detect the viruses. Kazaa is another good one, but most of them now days you gotta pay for or only good for a like a month free.

the problem with such P2P Software, is that the bigger the network, the more chance of viruses. and thusly the bigger the network, the faster it is and the bigger selection it has. this is the case for most P2P software, personnaly i would just reccomend getting a virus scanner and have it constantly scan your download folder while you are downloading stuff from such networks.

for the most part such software is not illegal, the act of downloading music when you do not have the music to begin with is illegal.

i do not quite comprehend even if Limewire is unlawful or not, yet what i imagine is it really is criminal. If that's unlawful it should be stopped immediately. as well, i have downloaded songs from it thousands of time and that i not in any respect on an same time once were given a mail about it. wish I helped.
