I'm doing it for a science fair project so I want to be exact as I can.

I'm seeing if my fertilizer is an appropiate substitute for commercial fertilizer

Yes. But you don't have to try that hard to get the perfect alchemy. Just trhough all your kitchen scraps (except meat and dairy) onto the compost. It will improve your soil even if you don't take an inventory of what goes into it.

I checked it out and I found only banana peels listed. You are doing a part to keep down Global Warming.

just the peels, the banana has seeds in it
