As disruptive special events may occur at any given time, they will deduct time away from schoolwork. These events will have a huge affect on one's academic plan. Examples of special events could range from Chinese New Year to a relative’s wedding. The unexpected events that may arise will deduct valuable time from accomplishing academic plan (think about what you mean by academic plan and rephrase it because your repeating yourself). The time will be spent with family, relatives and friends. When one knows when these events will occur, an adjustment will be made and one may follow their objectives to achieving academic plan.

Next time it may be a good idea to tell us what the major point of what your writing about is.

I am not sure why I am doing this but...

Disruptive special events may occur that would take time away from schoolwork. These events may have a significant impact on ones academic plan. These events include, but are not limited to, Chinese New Year and other national holidays, vacation, and important family events such as a wedding or funeral. All these events could adversely affect the time available for academic studies. Knowing that these events are likely to occur, adjustments should be made in the academic plan in order to allow for time away from studies while still achieving academic goals.

If you have a spell check/grammar checker, it could help you tone down your writing to the 9th grade level. That is the grade level that most people read at. Also, try to change from a PASSIVE voice to an ACTIVE voice. It makes the material more convincing. And as the famous Malcom Forbes (owner of Forbes mag, and a Billionaire said: "Keep it brief."

I find what you wrote a little confusing. To me, the disruptive events you named are predictable. A wedding is planned, in many cases, for months in advance. So is a vacation. And Chinese New Years is a known event.

I would change like this:

Unplanned events may occur that take you away from your schoolwork. These events may have a major impact on your academic plan. An example of an unplanned event that can disrupt your academic plans, would be an auto accident where a family member is injured and ends up in the hospital. Or maybe, even resulting in their death.

Attending to family needs during these times of crisis, will require putting your academic plans and assignments at a lower priority level.

Knowing that these events may occur, xxxxxxxxx (I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here.)

Right away I noticed that you used "affect" incorrectly. Affect means "to cause an effect" which is the word you should use.
Effect means: a result or accomplishment which is what your sentence is saying.
