The game was bad mainly because of the crap weather. I don't think sports are rigged for certain teams. I think Indy and Chicago both deserved to be there. I put £20 on Indy to cover so I wasn't too upset at the final score.

First of all, the Super Bowl is the most watched sporting event in the world! Second, it would be impossible to rig an event with that many cameras on it and that many spectators. The Colts played a better game than the Bears and I think it was a great Super Bowl....and it was won with CLASS!

The commercials were way below average, however.

I guess your team got kicked out from the playoffs? most likely yes!! LOL.

I remember when I said that sports were rigged, I received about 8 thumbs down and my answer even got reported :-P, especially Bears fans claiming that sports can't be rigged and blah blah blah. Now, since they lost, a lot of them are saying that the SB was fixed...but anyways, to answer your question, I do believe that some games, not all, but a lot of games are controlled. Not necessarily fixed for certain teams to win, but fixed enough for certain teams to "not cover" its given spread.

For instance, in the NFC championship, when the line opened at Bears -3, the first think I noticed it was the huge amount of bets being placed on the Saints. When I found out that 70% to 80% of the bets were on the Saints and the line only moved 1/2 point; I KNEW that the Saints would lose to the Bears. Casinos cashed in HUGE, because not only people lost the spread, but it also broke a big number of teasers. Another "coincidence" was when Vinatieri missed the field goal in the Super Bowl (first half), the line was Colts -4. Big amount of money was laid on the Colts first half. The Bears had no chance to win that game, because about 70% of the money was on the Bears money line - **that's where the 'bet-against-the-public' strategy comes into the picture**

NBA - the NBA is one of the MOST CONTROLLED sports of all, after soccer. Try betting a game, and you'll see how freaking fixed things can be. Holy crap!! Sonics beat the Pacers?...well, I guess my strategy of "betting against the public" worked :-) $$$ Oh! the Celtics are coming up with their 16th loss of the season, and trust me, they are not going to win a game until people stop betting on them.

I don't know how you saw the SB, but I'm watching the replay of it, and the Colts did OWN the Bears. Bears' defense couldn't put up with the Colts' offense. Colts made the Bears look as if they were the worst team in the NFL. LOL...and as for the Bears' offense...no comments.

I agree that this years super bowl was pretty bad, but I do not believe it was rigged. Remember, it was raining out which caused many turnovers and made the game sloppy. Also, the Bears defense was just terrible and didnt play up their standards. Finally, Rex Grossman was just terrible and threw up some real lame-duck passes that the Lions could have intercepted. He was the real reason the Bears lost, not the Colts winning it. Remember, despite the Bears' bad play, they were still in it with about 4 minutes left in the third quarter.

The Colts did JUST ENOUGH to win. But they won. Power to them...

The Colts handed the Bears their opportunities. the game would not have been that close if the Colts had not made their mistakes early in the game.Sometimes I wonder if some things are staged because they kept talking about the monkey on Manning's back like Bettis was last year on his retirement .Look how the Colts played so poorly against Pittsburgh when they were so unbeatable. You might have a point.

I want the Vikings to win the Super Bowl because as an Eagles fan I am extremely grateful to them for crushing the Cowboys next week. However, I wouldn't mind seeing the Jets win because Rex Ryan seems like a pretty cool guy.

It did seem kind of boring. I have been pulling for the Colts for several years now but it still wasn't exciting. The commercials weren't very good either. My wife agrees with you. She thinks ALL sports are rigged for a particular team to win every year.

I didn't think there was a lot of hype for this year's game. The only real story for the game was a great offense versus a great defense. Other than there being the 1st 2 black coaches to coach in the Super Bowl and one of them winning, there just wasn't much there. The game was about what I expected.

yeah this year Superbowl was definitely not the 2 best teams from each league playing. I think the colts and the patriots should have been playing for the Lombardi trophy but that's not how the NFL does it. I think that these 2 teams choked that's why they sucked but yeah i definitely agree this years Superbowl kind of sucked

What I want to know is why people make such a big deal about the #$%^&*( commercials? Who cares about $%^&*( COMMERCIALS!!!!?

Commercials suck whether during The Super Bowl or episodes of Seinfeld.
