Cozumel is extremely relaxed. Quiet beaches, gorgeous water, awesome snorkeling and diving. Beautiful and peaceful, I recommend Playa Azul hotel. I have also heard the same about Isla mujeres but have never personally been there. Check out the pictures to see what I mean.

those are ideal secret. No, fairly, close to Cancun there are some, yet they're all hidden, i can not allow you to be conscious of what are they observed as 'reason it does no longer be a secret anymore. they are not crowded for some reason, yet once you come back and flow to all of the Riviera Maya, pay interest, for there are some small indicators and routes off the line that lead you there! the owner there has refused to sell the sea coast, so there at the instant are not any enormous resorts (in simple terms 6 little rooms for hire, or you could stay there camping out) and in simple terms approximately no human beings, in simple terms what you're finding for. And the sea there is as, or much greater, beautiful than Cancun's. ok right here is going a sprint, it is between Xcaret and Xel-Ha (the two 5 stars resorts on the Riviera Maya)

I know you said you didn't want Cancun, But Isla Mujures is wonderful. There is also a small island about 125 miles North of Cancun that is beautiful and rustic....Holbox. Costa Maya is a good place....Chiapas.....Verz Cruz.....I suggest Isla Mujures. I didn't care for Puerto Vallarta at all, but then I was comparing it to Cancun. It is beautiful in a different way. You would probably enjoy it.......mountains are beautiful. There are a lot of great places in Mexico to go. I think you would like Puerto Vallarta.......be glad to book that one for you. I sell travel.....no fees....just enjoy doing it. e-mail me if you want me to give you some prices....sunsationvacations@yahoo.com....tell me how many people....place of departure....and travel dates....I will see what I can come up with.

In spanish it is called Puerto Penasco. Google it. It is pretty cool.

you can go to playa del carmen about one hour south of cancun. it's more laid back but you still have access to all the tours and stuff you would get in cancun.
have fun!
