How would you describe a young, poor criminal if you were writing a story?
I need to write a story for school about a young boy who steals a woman's pocketbook on the street ("Thank You Ma'am" by Langston Huges) What are some good descriptions of a young criminal? Like how can i describe the way he walks, talks, etc? Thanks!! Any help would be appreciated

He walks with confidence, but his eyes are clouded with hurt and guilt. His swagger belies the little boy he is and his dreams are filled with monsters. He draws a long haul off the cigarette dangling from his mouth and pretends that he's unafraid. The bravado bolsters his self confidence and he darts his eyes looking for his next target. As he sees the pocketbook, a gleam comes into his eyes. She is busy with her cell phone and doesn't notice his menacing smile around the cigarette.
