Xrays are not free...sometimes you will be billed by the hospital and sometimes the hospital uses an outside source and you will then get a bill from them. YES, you will be charged. If you have health insurance...they will be billed first. Then, what they don't pay you get to pay. Simple, isn't it? Xrays are not a 'perk' from the hospital.....nothing in life is free.

X-RAY is free. What'll cost you is the necessary equipment and people to run the equipment. That gets really expensive.

You will be charged somewhere between 50-100 dollars depending on what it is, and how many you need.

it depends on what country you live in. What does the health care system cover? Australia is free. Do you have private insurance? Ultimately it will cost you anyway - taxes
