American Football, Soccer is for gay people who are scared of contact, and using their hands. If I had no arms, I would play soccer. If I liked playing for 90+ minutes, having penalty kicks, and still having ties I would play soccer. Rugby isn't as good as American Football, since when do you see as many people watch a Rugby game as the Super Bowl? Soccer is the most popular sport in some European countries, but mostly third world countries who are dirt poor and can't afford anything else. Why do we want to be like them?

Boy, some of you guys are really out of touch when it comes to football! Football is a game of skill - do you think it is easy to constantly run back and forth across that gigantic pitch for 45 minutes at a time, moving the ball around without using your hands? It requires great coordination, control and endurance, and it should not be so easily dismissed. Rugby is quite a bit more rough, so I guess that people could consider it to be more manly. But there are plenty of manly men who play football - Roy Keane to name but one!

I think that Rugby Union & League is the Real Mans sport because of the contact that happens in the sport & the physicallity of it as well as the rivalry between the players supporters & the clubs that play these two great sports..

the thing about rugby is it was invented by public school boys for public school boys. anyone know any public school boys? all that sleeping together in dorms playing the soggy biscuit game each night?!?
football is the game of the masses. its the worlds most popular game. the skill involved in it is paramount . England's best rugby player isn't that good with his hands. he uses his feet to kick the ball. whats that all about (think he wants to be a footballer).
as for our American football fan who answered . only in America could you invent and be proud of your national pass time and sport that was invented by t v execs with enough stopages to fit in the ad breaks, have to be a freak of nature to play and only play a game that was popular in your own country and be proud enough to comment on 2 sports that you know nothing about.
rugby is harder but footy is 100% more skillfull

I am a football fan but I have to be honest and easily say; RUGBY. This is the most dangerous sport where body and body bump any time and this may result to death.
Thanx!

It really depends on what you as a individual like I really enjoy FOOTBALL.Right here goes do you enjoy watching 90 Minutes of skill by players using their feet (ok I know they did`nt manage it last night) or 80 minutes of mainly large men trying to run through other equally large men rather then run round them, If it`s Football you win, if it`s Rugby all you have to do to win is change your mind NOW.
