Both John Riggins and Larry Csonka were great RB's (although considered FB's) Both Riggins and Csnoka rushed for 1,000 yards in a season and both have won a Super Bowl MVP (both set a Super Bowl rushing record the year they won MVP (Csonka 33 carries 145 yards in Super Bowl VIII) and (Riggins 38 carries for 166 yards in Super Bowl XVII. Ironically against The Dolphins).

It's a toss up between those 2.

I'd have to say Doak Walker, 5-time pro bowler, 4-time all pro, rookie of the year in 1950, led the league in scoring twice, helped the Lions win two NFL championships, and he only played 5 years.
