i dont now what kind of car you have but the decklid is usually the back hatch or trunk. but ive been a mechanic for a while and i never have seen them there. your paint code should be inside the drivers side door jam. there should be a sticker there and it will tell you the external paint code

The deck lid is the "trunk" or trunk lid. sometimes paint codes are listed on a little tab/sticker in there. Just open the trunk and look up at the deck lid and if you see a litle sticker with codes there you have it. It may also be on the inside of the door... the area of the door whe it meets the body of the car typically has an oem sticker identifying the vin and some features with codes. Also in the glove box you may see it... Good luck... I work at a dealership and sometimes I struggle with it on the various makes and models of cars.

well you need to real search and find the area that is causing the rattle. it can be where the skin meet the braces in the deck lid . could be the license plate , or the quarter panel sheet metal . you just need to find the rattle then you can go about finding the cure . I have a s 10 with 4-kicker 12'' subs 2000 watts .. and zero rattle at 159.6 db so i know it can be done. however it is not always easy..

This is your Trunk Lid, They tend to put the code there or inside your Driver door.
