My fridge is runnjng out of space and in a bad location. I want to make one or more wall areas for posting my collection and creations. I have considered stainless steel scrap metal, magnetic paint, magnetic paint powder, magnetic white boards (way too expensive), and assortments of old iron objects. Any ideas what might work best? Thanks!!

go to your local sign shop and ask about taking their scraps...most will give them to you and you can screw the sheets to the wall or onto picture frames. hobby stores and even Wal-Marts have cheap photo magnets tho keep your things on the metal board with and the sheets are usually white to start with so you could paint them or whatever you wanted. total might cost you time since the sign shops might even give you their scrap magnetic strips that they can't use anymore....Jenn

We bought 3 metal message boards at IKEA. But when we got home, I realized we could have probably used cookie/baking sheets, bottom-side out. :o)

well if you like to be creative you can pick up old ironing boards for next to nothing. cover them with thin material and your have your boards to set up anyway you wish.
