Should I be worried if my child is hanging out with kids who are "emo"? Are they all cutters - or do they just like certain music and dress a certain way? She's 12 and in the 7th grade.

I think "emo" means that they kind of have their own unique style of dressing etc. I think your child hangs out with "emo" kids because she finds them being the coolest/most popular in school. I find that not all "emo" kids are bad. But I think it's better to keep an eye on your child just for in case your child mixes with the wrong kind of "emo" kids.

I wouldn't know, that's a biased topic. Just google things like middle schooler maturity level and conflicting stages of puberty and stuff like that. And statistics on how long middle school kids relationships normally last.
